INFRASTRUCTURE  

Infrastructure is the hallmark of a college. A profound infrastructure represents sound philosophy and healthy outlook of the authorities who seek to impart education in the premise. The infrastructure of the college includes sixty two well furnished, spacious and airy classrooms including air conditioned rooms for MBACIT and computer science students, updated departmental labs of Home Science, Psychology, Fashion Designing, Fine Arts, Dress Designing, Office Management, Computer Science and Functional English. Fully air conditioned computer labs consisting of 90 Core 2 duo computers with internet facility and well stocked, air conditioned centralized library. College has a girls hostel with all modern amenities, well maintained guest house and hygienic cafeteria. Air conditioned seminar hall and staff rooms. Centralized Announcement system, Medical Inspection Room and Modern Gym. Book Shop, Telephone Booth, Photostat Facility, Recreation Room, Reading Room, Divinity Room, NCC, NSS, and Sports office also constitute part of healthy Infrastructure.

Library and Reading Room  

College has a fully air-conditioned and computerized central library stocked with more than 40,000 latest text and reference books related to all disciplines of Management, Arts, Computer and many more.

Computer Lab

The college has four hi-tech Computer Labs equipped with 90 latest computers (core2duo with LCD Monitor) and three broadband internet connections to ensure accessibility for each student.

Language Lab

A state-of-art English Language Lab is functional in the college. The lab consists of one master console connected with as many as 30 client consoles.

Fashion Designing Labs

There are 3 Labs viz. Garment Construction Lab, Pattern Making Lab and Dyeing & Printing Lab for the students of fashion designing. The garment construction lab is equipped with the latest automatic and semi automatic sewing machines, treadle machines, fashion makers, button fixing, buttonholing, lock stitch and over lock machines. The pattern making lab consists of three 4x8 and six 6x8 printing tables. The dyeing and printing lab includes block and screen printing material. The students are given a chance to experiment with different types of dyes and chemicals to create variances in dyeing and printing. There are 4 latest computer systems equipped with the latest versions of designing softwares like Corel Draw, Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD/CAM and Fashion Studio.

Home Science Lab

The College has three well equipped home science labs viz. Cooking Lab, Home Management Lab and Laundry & Textile Lab. Each lab has working capacity of 30 students at a time. Labs are equipped with modern instruments like microwave oven, cooking range, electrical gadgets, washing machine, sewing, embroidery machines etc.

Fine Arts Lab

Fine Arts Lab is fully equipped with the latest equipments viz easels, drawing boards, pedestal lights and computers. Well maintained Fine Arts Lab provides the most favourable environment for the students to develop their hidden talent.

Psychology Lab

The Psychology lab of this college consists of modern equipments like GSR Biofeedback, Aesthersiometer, Blind goggles, Tachistoscope, Depression Inventory, Locus of Control, Mirror drawing, Maze Learning, Mullar Layer Illusion, Bells Adjustment Inventory and anxiety and aptitude test equipments which help the students to study the practical aspects of the subject. Guidance and counselling is also provided to the students.

Office Management Lab

To impart the practical knowledge about the latest office procedures, college has two office management labs consisting of latest computers and modern typing machines having seating capacity of 50 students.

Seminar Hall

A spacious and properly ventilated seminar hall accommodating 200 students with audio-visual aids, OHP and LCD projector facilities, is available for the conduct of regular orientation programmes like extension lectures, guest lectures, workshops and personality development programmes.

Medical Inspection Room

To cater the routine health checkups and minor health related problems a medical inspection room is operational in the college campus under the supervision of a qualified doctor.

Girls Hostel

The College has a well-furnished and spacious girls hostel having the capacity of around 50 inhabitants. Several facilities are provided to the hostellers viz. Internet facility, well equiped gymnasium to keep them physically fit, PCO booth and recreation room. The hostel runs a common mess where girls are fully associated in order to make kitchen a success. All efforts are made to provide the girls a wholesome and clean diet.

College Bus

The college has 05 buses to cater the needs of the students living in surrounding villages of Ludhiana.

Cafeteria

College has spacious and hygienic cafeteria in the campus for the students to refresh themselves. This cafeteria offers well balanced and quality food at reasonable price.

National Cadet Corps

To bring the spirit of Discipline and National Integration in the students, the college is running two NCC units under the supervision of Punjab Girls Bn NCC, Ludhiana. The NCC cadets regularly participate in social, cultural and other related activities and various camps organised by Defence Ministry. Our cadets actively participate in Independence Day and Republic Day parades. The practical training given to the cadets during camps, provides the requisite exposure which helps them to compete with added advantage in all walks of life. Cadets attend 40 parades of 2hrs each during the academic session. College also organise awareness campaigns like drug awareness, Aids Prevention, Traffic Rules etc. under the guidance of Caretaker Ms. Asha Arora.

National Service Scheme

The National service scheme which aims at inculcating the spirit of social service, dignity of labour, community development, national intergration and fellow-feelings among the students, has been functional in this college since 1973. Our students take part in N.S.S. activities very enthusiastically. Our college also organises National Integration Camps sponsered by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in which students from all over the Indian States participate. The N.S.S. Unit of our college organises various awareness rallies against social evils. Various training programmes like Civil Defence, First Aid, Traffic Rules are also organized in college campus.

Youth Club

Our college Youth-club remains active throughout the session. With a view to break the monotony of the classroom teaching, the club organizes hiking and trekking expeditions besides holding debates and declamation contests. To imbibe love for the rich cultural heritage of Punjab, this club celebrates festivals pertaining to Punjabi culture like Teej, Diwali, Lohri and Basant.

Activity Based Learning

To widen the horizon of the learners ‘Activity based learning’ sessions like case study, panel discussion, seminars & extension lectures, group and role plays form a part of the pedagogy. This acts as a platform to develop professional skills among students. These sessions help to bring radical changes in the students' perception, attitude and ability to comprehend complex concepts thus resulting in the development of all round personality.
